Lasagne & mashed taters

Meh, I figured my lunch menu was a good opening line :p (and yes I am eating them all squished together muhahaha mmmm)
So how was everyone's Christmas? My Christmas weekend was busy but really good :) I got to see lots of people and enjoyed my family time a lot. I'm lucky enough to be able to see my family more than once a year at Christmas (although some might not think that so lucky :p or blessed)
So anyways... I have a new favorite piece of jewelry :) It's a gold heart set (two intertwining hearts... one with diamonds, one without) on a necklace... it's beautiful and quite a surprise from Rob... seeing as he is neither a big jewelry person or someone I'd have imagined picking something so beautiful out (no offence :p ) Anyways... considering he wrapped it himself (again a gasp goes out from the audience LOL) it was quite the surprise...
I also got an all in one printer from my parents... a DVD/VCR from Rob and many... many other things that I now have to find homes for in my house. I bought myself a papasan chair to match the one I already had (it was on really good sale) but it really doesn't match although it is cute (but less sturdy)... so yeah.
Work blows... we are doing inventory (well we are almost done) and at the beginning of the week our boss told us if we got it all done early we could have friday off but it seems everyone already knows he won't give it to us even though we worked our butts off and it's almost all done... it's quite impressive... but alas apparently everyone is saying we will have to work none-the-less because the owner hates giving any time off... and seeing as we don't get paid for overtime... I highly doubt we'll get it off now either... which depresses me no end *sigh* If I had sick days I'd use them... Friday will be brutal otherwise... our customers think we are closed :s
Lastly, I think I'm losing my mind.. I can't seem to remember everything and I am so un-organized lately it's starting to eat my brain... I dunno why... I blamed it on being rushed at Christmas but now I don't know what it is... but I plan on finding out or at least attempting to fix it. I have lots to work on in the next little while... many resolutions are being built up hehe. Hope you all have a great New Years... can't wait to hear all about it. Cheers.

Almost christmas

Holy crap... what a week... what a month... geebus. So lets see what can I write now? Lets start with I have been under lots of stress lately... I mean it pretty much comes with the season now... and if it weren't for being a big family event I might even consider boycotting christmas but when it comes down to it... I still really like it in the end.
I had a discussion with my boss this morning and apparently one of the accounting/invoicing people is retiring (that doesn't sound grammatically correct) and he was offering to let me take her place... so I would get trained for that with apparently a good size pay raise. So we will see how that goes. I start to train probably next week, which is exciting cuz I was so not so excited about doing inventory in the cold warehouse *shiver*
Other than that... things are moving along... school starts on Rob's birthday also known as voting day here ha! no voting for me :p and I have a perfectly good excuse... errr reason :p Does this mean I've beaten Debbie? muhaha who by the way has been exceptionally nice recently, even to the point of giving me a christmas card... WHAT A SHOCKER!!!

And the winner is..... ME!

Ok... so I was informed that I need to update my blog more regularly (so I guess this means Mavis wins... I used to bug her about how she never updated hers cuz she was too busy and now I'm being tormented the same... oh well) so here it is... I got my marks for class and I got 99% on my vocabulary evaluation and 84% on my exam (which I am not thrilled about but I was the second one done in class and the first one not to leave in tears so I guess it's really not that bad)... and overall I got 91.7% so not too shabby... gives me like 8% to improve on really hehe. My christmas shopping has been going for awhile now... the school thing screwed up my Christmas schedule and I am way behind now... but at least I'm catching up quickly, or at least I'm telling myself that to make me feel better when really I'm not getting any further ahead but the days are... ugh. I still haven't wrapped anything except Rhonda and Jolene's presents and really that was only because I was seeing them tonight to give them their presents. Was a good night though... was there until almost 11pm... just chatting... haven't done that in awhile and very happy I did... was relaxing and fun. I think it would be beneficial to do it more often, but then it never seems like there is time... I suppose if it was really important we could find a way to make time but that takes effort too LOL and at christmas time the less effort the better so I'll settle for making them see me once or twice in the next couple months... I have both their numbers... I'll just harass them hehe.
So Friday night was my Christmas party for work and it went really well... I had a lot of fun actually and I even got a Christmas bonus... a really nice one... in cash WEEE! yeah I wasn't expecting it and it almost fell out of my card haha. So I went from thinking they weren't going to keep me at all to getting a nice christmas bonus and an invite from the boss to his place for New Years Eve... although I think that had something to do with a hot tub and I'm not remotely interested but the fact that I got an invite means something right? Although I do find that I'm way to quick at what I do and haven't been given enough responsibility to occupy my day... thankfully I'm good at finding things for me to do to make myself busy really... so we'll see how long that lasts. Anyways... I really need to get to bed... so here is my update *cough* RHONDA! *cough* so this buys me a couple more non-blogging days hehehe :) Cheers all... hope your holiday season is going well! HYDEEE HO!

So seeing as no one has responded to the last two blogs... I think I've lost my fan club *sigh* that didn't take long. It's been really busy lately... I thought it would slow down after school ended (on the 30th) but it really hasn't seemed to. I haven't finished my christmas shopping and I still keep finding things to buy for people I thought I was finished buying for, or trying to perfect the gifts I have bought... make the presentations look better or whatever. I haven't finished making my cards and I haven't started wrapping either *sigh* it's not looking so good on the being ahead of the game factor... but on a happy note... It's been more than 3 months now and I haven't officially been laid off and they keep giving me more to do so it looks like I might be staying awhile. This Friday is the work Christmas party and yes... I was given official invitation, and not only that BUT I got personally invited by the boss to his house for New Years... now I won't be going but I thought it was positive they invited me... although I did start to wonder after they made my spot on the phone system "SPARE" hmmmm... but whatever. Other than that, I haven't received my school marks yet so don't ask me :p and I'm hoping to still get together with the girls from my class as we all get along really well and have made plans to do stuff together during the holidays, we'll see how that goes. That's pretty much all the news I have as of late... just been busy with the holiday stuff... but it never seems like you have enough time to get through everything you need to do... it can get slightly depressing at times... but alas... people will get IOUs if I don't make it through everything LOL I O U a nice homemade christmas card... next year... BYE! :)
