Bekki is showing me up

with her constant posting ability and I didn't want to be showed up by some Aussie Mommy :p hehehe or rather Mummy for those aussie folks... do u say mummy... u say mum... but then a mummy is something wrapped in bandages and buried in stones for thousands of years... although at times all of us have considered this option for our "mummies" or maybe that's just me... LOL whatever. Anyways... I am hiding behind a fort of files :s its getting frustrating actually how much work I can end up with and I understand now how Cassidy got so far behind... they could really use two peopl ehere but there isn't enough room... I dunno... I already put in 11 hours of overtime last week... I'm not doing that every week... probably 5 a week for the next little while, se eif I can't get the files down... and the letters up... maybe once the letters are caught up and the scheduling fixed... then things will be ok... I'm hoping anyways. I don't want to become like Cassidy. Anyways on that note I think I'm going to go eat my lunch, thats my goal anyways. As for the guy who got after me last week, he came in for an appointment this morning and was in the waiting room talking to some older ladies... so it was grumpy guy, his wife and two elderly ladies having a conversation about sex and then they tried to include me in on the conversation and said they were corrupting my mind and then u couldn't do that to young people because they already knew more than the older people blah blah blah... I had the overwhelming urge to cover my ears and scream loudly "shut up shut up shut up" so anyways... the ladies left and it got quiet and I thought I'd be a sport and ask the guy about his motorhome he had been blabbing to me about... and he goes OH SHE FINALLY OPENS UP blah blah blah... OK DIDN'T HE TELL ME LAST TIME I MUST BE LONG WINDED! AND NOW HE'S BITCHING I DON'T TALK!!! MAKE UP UR FRIGGIN MIND! bah... men suck.
Anyways, so thats my venting for today... I'll think of something later I'm sure. Needless to say, we were amicable when he left... I try to be pleasant and he tries not to be... meh.

Yesterday was my first Echo car meet... besides Gaelen and I being 2 of 4 caucasian people (in a group of all asian people) it was actually really fun. I was the only girl member... and u could tell which girly car was mine (with paw print decals all up the front and down the back) hehehe so yeah I think I'll enjoy being part of that.

My next task is to try and make up membership forms for the BCVHAA since I am the executive of that part. Weeee...
anyways, I'm going to go see if I can't eliminate some of the piles on my desk. All have a great day.

Just to vent

Wow two posts in one day... I know... I just had to vent cuz I got all riled up by a patient on the telephone. So I told you in my last post that the phone had been going bananas this morning, well I of course have missed a couple calls this morning because I have been on the phone with other clients... speaking of the evil phone... ugh. 2 lines at once... and then 2 lines again... weee STOP PHONING ME! agh. So anyways... I have had the two lines light up at once 6 times today, I obviously can only get the one line... the other goes to voicemail. So I answer the phone and this old man with sarcasm dripping from every pore... goes OH you are answering your phone now. I was like... uhh yeah. He starts on about how we must be on vacation over here cuz we don't answer our phone. I apologized (I dunno why) and said I had been on the other line with another patient... THERE GOES THE PHONE AGAIN!
he then said that I must be awfully long winded as he had called at 9:40 (this was 10:30) and got the voicemail... and I fought every urge to tell him off and say he should have left a message then, but I didn't. He then baraded on and on about my not answering his call... blah blah blah. Then babbled for ages about some medication and then his insurance on his motorhome and I felt like saying... THIS IS THE EXACT REASON I COULDN'T ANSWER YOUR CALL... PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN BLAB IN MY EAR ALL MORNING. But I didn't... I finally asked him how I could help him and he got defensive and said the Dr. should phone him back... agh! I wish I could just tell people to shove things where the sun don't shine because I seriously do not have time to sit here and listen to him tell me how long winded I must be... agh! Ok so thats my rant... hopefully no one else steps on a nerve today cuz they won't like the result LOL.... hope everyone else is having a good wednesday... after today only two days left til the weekend! WEEE!

ADDENDUM: Oh the torture... the same gentleman phoned back to ask if the Dr. had called him yet because he was on the phone with disability and may have missed his call... OH HOW HARD IT WAS NOT TO SAY "WOW YOU MUST BE LONG WINDED" agh... torture... damn my sarcastic and witty sense of humor and slight tendency for revenge :sigh:

Professionalism

So hows everyone today? Thats super... I swear to God this phone at work is ringing just to bug me today. I have tons of piles around my desk and I still have a crap load of tapes to dictatype (is that what u say... transcribe?) anyways... I've been trying to figure it out, and financially (bahaha I can't type I originally put finanancially... cuz that looked right... ugh!) this job is much better for me. :) I've been working loads of overtime, which between school and 10 hour days at work... I'm going to get pretty tuckered out soon... but at least I'll pay down some credit cards LOL that makes things better :) Go me. I'm planning on opening up a savings account as I don't have holiday pay built up here... I get it paid to me... which in essence seems like a good idea, but then I spend it... LOL Anyways... so tonight is a quiz at school... first one in awhile, then I have to work on a project on cats... this will not be my easiest project LOL I don't know enough about cats... Bekki wanna help me out on that one hehehe. I now have a patient who went for his appointment, has come out and is now just sitting in my office... for no reason... just sitting there... ugh... not to mention the gentleman who was waiting in the hall when I got in this morning... like WTF is that about? he was over 30 minutes early LOL They are out to drive me nuts let me tell you. So this weekend I get to go to my first car meet for Echos... no offense but I don't see there being many non-asian echo drivers there... and I am the only girl... could be interesting. Thankfully, Gaelen has offered to go with me, and help me clean my car beforehand.
Oh and speaking of the car, I got it back after the dealership fixed it, and it doesn't have the rear bumper protector, which didn't take me too long to notice. So I got them to look into it and no one seems to know what I'm talking about, but they found a part that sounded right and ordered it (no picture to double check) and it comes in on like thursday... then I have to take them my car for a day AGAIN! agh. Not overly impressed, pretty sure its a peal and stick type of deal but what do I know, apparently I am the only one who knew this part existed anyways? bah. So I will probably get the effing courtesy car again and have to drive like a grandma LOL ahhh well... what can u do when u live in a shoe?
Apart from that, I haven't much else to write about, how sad eh? I should put up the pics of the gorgeous roses I keep getting... I am getting spoiled but I'm not quite sure why? :p OHHHH BEKKI'S BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP SOON! Bekki e-mail me ur address again, I have misplaced it... :S
Anyways, back to work... see if I can't eliminate a pile or so... :) weee!

My easter presents :)

So for Easter Gaelen bought me a big easter bunny from Lindt... I got little ones from my grandma... I feel like I'll look like an easter blimp soon hehehe...
Gaelen also ordered me some paw print decals for my car :) So Gaelen put them on for me yesterday (Easter Sunday)... they are SOOOOO cute!!! I love them. Am just hoping people don't try to pick them off LOL they are on there quite well let me tell u :p I have 39 left haha so I will probably put them down the back of my car... I am waiting for the dealership to complete the bumper job they started. They didn't put the rear bumper protector on my bumper, so I have to wait for them to do that now, but they did clean my car and vacuum mos tof the inside :) it looks ok... smells funky though. I bought a new pawprint seat cover for the driver side, my mom said I couldn't buy two as my birthday is coming up so someone else will get me the second one for my birthday... which means I'm driving aroudn with only one and its super comfy :) I love my car.
I just thought I'd put that as an update. I am working more overtime the next little while and have loads of work to do here, so I won't be running out of stuff to do anytime soon. Tonight I'm attempting to go for sushi with Gaelen... its the first time I'll have eaten sushi in months, as I got sick after eating it in Abby almost 2 months ago...and haven't had any since :( still don't want it LOL but I'm sucking it up and eating it anyways cuz I used to love it and now I miss it. Damn it! LOL anyways... hope ya'll enjoyed (or are currently enjoying) your Easter weekend... I unfortunately am at work, but its not so bad really!

Ok... so I am writing quickly just to update... perhaps so I don't lose what appears to be a somewhat captive audience :p hehehe
My car is in the body shop as of today to get the bumper fixed finally (I don't totally have the money to spend on it... but I'm finding it) because I joined an Echo hatchback car club and we have a meet on the 23rd... I'm super excited. I'm hoping by then to have the decals put on the hood of my car... (I've themed my car now that I don't have it... paw print steering wheel cover, will buy a paw print seat cover and wait for a second for my birthday cuz my mom hit the roof when I said I was buying myself stuff a month before my birthday... and paw print decals going up the hood of my car)... so it'll look like an animal has walked all over my car... it'll be cute... shup up... I'm a girl... I can have a cutsie car!!! anyways... I've been assigned as leader I guess u'd call it of the BCVHAA (BC Veterinarian Hospital Assistants Association) membership group... so I get to run a whole section of the Association... kinda excited and nerve wracking at the same time.
I'm still single cuz I choose to be and been having many a conversation with guy friends as to my reasons for this... I still stick to it... I like my time alone right now which is very little...

3rd semester just started for my course... ends in June and then summer break til September when I take the last semester and graduate and get my certificate and then figure out from there what it is I want to do. I still like the job I'm doing and I figured seeing as the VHA positions at this time don't pay overly well, I might wait out entering it full (or even part time) until it comes up a bit as a recognized field or I become a mother because as a part time job for a mother it would be a really good idea... AND NO MY BIOLOGICAL CLOCK IS NOT TICKING!! IT'S CALLED FUTURE PLANNING! I knew someone would say it!
Anyways... I'm off to watch tv cuz tonight is the first night in ages I'm home to do so and really I should have done some laundry by now but I'll attempt it while watching House...
