School

I have to head out for dinner soon but I thought I would write a quick entry to update people who are wondering about school.
Also, I wanted to put up SherBrookerra pics hehehe... Brooke, Cerra and I all headed down to the states for Saturday (after having drinking night friday LOL and watching SherBrooke videos from July)... we had an absolute blast... and of course filmed it also hehehe
http://photobucket.com/albums/a52/sherbearQt1/SherBrooke/SherBrookerra/

School started last night and I have to say I really like the instructor, she has a good sense of humor and really has a passion for what she does, both with animals and as a teacher... we'll probably get along quite well, I would hope. Plus she's part psychologist (the human kind ;) and I really did well and enjoyed psychology a lot... if I didn't have enough trouble dealing with the psychotic people in my family I'd probably have looked into a career in that field LOL... I will post more later, but for now I am really REALLY running behind... and I have a project due for school tomorrow I should get on LOL... cheers all.

Update to Arbitration

OMG! I didn't even realize I hadn't posted about it... so sorry. Anyways, my parents obviously won the arbitration but the judge seemed to be siding more with the landlords (even though literally they are insane)... it seems that the only reason my parents won at all was because the landlords actually broke the law (duh) but the judge seemed very sympathetic to them. They accused us of wrecking their hardwood floor which had been buried under the carpet over thirty years ago because it was so horrible back then. They ripped up the carpet and refinished the floors and are apparently going to sue us for damages for that... and to take down the storage locker we put up downstairs (with their permission although they say now they never gave it)... even though they took a million pictures of the rest of the house being "restored" but not a single picture of that (which means they didn't take it down I'm sure)... apparently they've been able to add up over $10,000 in damages although all the pictures they have taken show how clean and perfect we left the house... even though the place was kinda gross when we moved in. So needless to say... not entirely sure how that is going to go... the guy is nuts really... but if we get the same judge we're probably toast cuz she apparently seemed to side very favorably... even though judges are supposed to be impartial... my parents weren't even allowed to speak for the arbitration... couldn't collect the damages from the court costs either. Meh... what can u do? Life is unfair at times... perhaps it will go no where and it's all just talk...
As for me... I am still sick.. yeah... it's getting old now... am still on my dayquil and nyquils though... I kinda like them :)
I start school on Monday... am kinda nervous now. Have supplies already (bought them at the end of August hehe) but haven't been in school for awhile and hope my brain is still knowledge friendly LOL

Would love to start working on my Christmas cards soon and apparently am supposed to start Christmas shopping with my aunt... guess I need to find funds for that soon eh? ... should also start my halloween costume as it's quite detailed and will take some time... which will be in short supply over the next few weeks... i've looked at my calendar already.

Anyways, is getting late and I still have to have a shower (especially now that my feet are like little toesicles)... hope everyone is doing well... will hopefully have something more entertaining to write about soon.... ohh and by the way... my mom and I watched ladykillers tonight and I have not wanted to poke out my eyes with a fork more than I had tonight... think I actually slid off the couch with boredom and frustration but not far enough to turn off the DVD player LOL

cheers!

Just a quick update

I am super sick... ok well maybe not super sick. I've loaded up on a combination of dayquils during the day and nyquils at night (last nights nyquil was aided by a touch of vodka, as I was unable to get much sleep the night before and I wanted to make sure I got some last night). Currently I can breathe out of one side of my nose, hear out of one ear and I caught my piercing twice today... so it hates me too :sigh: Other than that I'm doing well.
Rob's work trip got cancelled as they finished early so he was pretty bummed about that... especially about missing out on the money and the experience... poor guy. I've made quite a number of plans, seeing as he was to be absent, and unfortunately... I plan to keep all of them and continue making them as I've not seen a lot of people in awhile. I am waiting patiently (ok not so patiently as it is 2:30 am) for my second nyquil to kick in so I can breathe through both nostils and sleep easier...
Today Cerra and I made birthday presents for our friends Scott and jonny. We took pictures of us and printed them onto special paper and ironed them onto shirts for them. We took them to the bar and gave them to the boys (we also made one for Rob) and all three of them walked around the bar wearing them... was quite a sight.
Other than that, not much to report. Must go clean my piercing so it doesn't hate me as much in the morning and perhaps I should get ready for bed so that when the nyquil properly kicks in (and makes me really drowsy... it's great stuff)... I will be ready to crash. Hope ya'll are having a great weekend.

cheers

Arbitration

So my parents go in tomorrow to Arbitration to see about getting their deposit back on our old property :sigh: they aren't very excited although the chances of them coming away as the victors are about 98% as our ex-landlords have done nothing to improve their chances of being right... which they are not. :o stupid idiots... end of rant on that.
Work is alright... have not tried the forklift yet, have been very busy. Have not had any more alcohol as I'm normally driving home and frankly I don't care to although I suppose at times it's definitely needed. Have barely used the scooters as the electric one threatens my already lacking balance as it shimmys when it rides :S it's horrible really... and the self powered ones are quite wide and hard to get down some of the aisles and mostly because I spend my days packing boxes of stuff to be shipped... alas. Tis a little boring right now but we are so busy I haven't had the chance to learn anything else. Had created quite a little friendship with the girl who was teaching me the ropes... she is 20 and such a cutie... but unfortunately... she hates the manager of the warehouse department and was only trying to be good and fill in the void while the manager was away. Once the manager returned (who apparently is a horrible b!tch, but I have yet to find just cause in the accusations), Raeline threatened to quit and thus was put in the office instead of the warehouse and I was left floating around the back with no mentor. Debbie, the warehouse manager, runs around a lot and is hardly in the back warehouse so I spend a lot of my time alone, packing boxes and listening to the radio. To entertain myself, I'll sing songs and dance around with a box... or something to that effect... but really... it's quite lonely at times :sigh: it'll get better I'm sure. IT's not horrible there though... I'm learning quite a bit... my brain has once more been activated... which is a good thing as school starts in two weeks and I would hate to think my brain had decomposed with lack of use. I am now learning all the various workings of locks and trims and handles and such... is quite interesting actually, but that's probably a genetic interest stemming from both parents being locksmiths LOL
That's basically all for now :) will be sure to post pics soon of stuff around here... took some of the warehouse today when I got there to find a billion orders waiting for me to pack... was disheartening.... but of course I AM WOMAN! HERE ME PACKAGE BOXES!!! and they all got done YEAH! :) and then some of course! ;)

Cheers!

Ok... day three?

So I haven't had much response to the last two posts so I thought I'd write another... just for kicks. I have a bet going on with people that since I walk around with an exacto knife shoved down my back pocket... that I will inevitably forget to close it properly and stab myself in the butt with it. Cerra said by Friday... so far I've been pretty good... :) one more day and she loses... unfortunately no one else responded so I guess that's the onlybet I have LOL... stupid text messages. Anyways, so my last couple of days haven't been too bad. Did an hour of overtime last night... firstly cuz it's extra money and cuz it was office stuff which I haven't been doing yet and secondly cuz my work gives free alcohol and I had drank a tiny bit (tiny bit being like not quite half a bottle) and wanted to wait it out... yeah... the have a fridge full of beer and coolers for after work (although some start early... the forklift driver worries me with his can of beer LOL but he seems like an awesome guy!) I haven't tried the forklift at all but after I got into the vodka cooler I scootered around the warehouse on one of their custom scooters... has a big basket on the front... it's quite sturdy and insanely fun... will have to use it more often when pulling orders... makes life interesting LOL I've never used a scooter before. So apart from the office and warehouse being insane the last couple of days as they have implemented new computer systems but have no idea how to work them :sigh: doesn't that sound familiar LOL... so hopefully things will settle down a little bit more. Might do some more overtime tonight and try and learn a bit more... am slowly getting the warehousing code. So if anyone needs any deadbolts, passage levers or knobs or even privacy levers or knobs... let me know... I can find those :op *and I also know what the difference is between all the locks... am learning new stuff... mybrain is actually active!! WOOT!* I have a few new cuts and scraps... miraculously not from the exacto knife which is still in my back pocket as I forgot to take it out when I left work last night hehehe... yeah I sits on it regularly... no problems :) and the most weight I've carried in a box was 41.0 lbs. (we have to weigh all the boxes because they get shipped by courier) and really that's not overly heavy but because of the packaging of the stuff inside it was rather large and awkward... regularly the boxes I pack are only like 20-25 lbs... but I am still hoping to get some muscles and not be so girly hehehe :) also, seeing as I don't sit down all day, except when going to get lunch and whilst eating it... I am hoping to lose weight also... (unfortunately my lunch choices the past few days and the donuts that are in the kitchen... have made for a very hard time for my body to use up all those calories... LOL)
Anyways, am off to work for now... will continuously update this until all of you are sick of reading about my new job... :) Feel free to place bets on when I'll stab myself in the arse with my exacto knife... i have a few ideas of my own LOL

cheers.

SherBrooke pics

Yep I finally have them.

They are totally out of order but I dont know how to fix them and really I've spent long enough on here to not bother. hehehe

My first day at work

Ok... so I'm tired :o I worked 8 hours on my feet trying to learn a whole warehouse filing system that barely made sense to the person that was trying to train me. (her name is Raline and she's almost 21... was kinda weird being trained by someone younger but her and I got on quite well). Apparently the head boss is crazy and things are crazy at that place... the lady who's manager of the warehouse is on vacation but apparently she's a horrible witch and I shouldn't let her try and blame me for everything in future... not really sure how well that would go over with me anyways :o I don't like getting into trouble... especially for things I don't do... so yeah... could be an issue. But really my first day went well... my feet are kinda sore but it was overall not too shabby... definitely can keep you busy there although there were lag times a bit and I went to Wendys for lunch cuz it's literally less than a 2 minute drive up the road (I had to order for other people so I didn't want to walk... plus I only get 30 minutes). Apparently people can aggravated with you if you take breaks for coffee and stuff (you can have a coffee and u can eat the donut but don't look like ur not trying to do anything)... might be interesting to work there but it couldn't be worse... believe me... so I'll tough it out and know that its only until I get into the veterinary offices... and then that's that :) happiness... I hope. Seems like the right choice.
After work I went and helped my wifey pick up some boxes from the bus depot and then carry them through the apartment building courtyard and up a couple flights of stairs... now these boxes were nothing little or light... so was dying by the time I reached the top of the steps... the second time LOL... am relaxing whilst writing this. Rob is out at some meeting... he had some pretty sad news this morning and I felt bad about not being able to help or do anything, but I'm not sure what I could have done had I been able to do anything anyways... so it's really a mute point (moot?)
Anypickle... should get on with my life now... have updated my blog... everyone knows about my first day... and the knowledge of stupid shipping and warehousing codes I am trying to cram into my only slightly receptive brain LOL hopefully I can retain some of it... but by the end of the day I was not only pulling my own orders from the shelves but finding mistakes Raline had pulled hehehe (not that I wasn't making my own LOL)... so yeah... think I'm adapting just fine... me's a finker!! :o)

Next CSI mararthon Bekki... I expect you to join us. And tell ur mommy I says hi and I loves her and she's in my thoughts and prayers... and I'm sure my mom would say the same if she was here :o) Love you.

Cheers all.

New job

So my weekend went quite well. Went to the pne on Saturday with my e-wifey and my boyfriend... then went to the Macaroni grill for a birthday dinner saturday night. Friday I went shopping with my e-wifey and bought Robbygator a present :) we all went for cheesecake friday night with mutual friend Dana... the Cheesecake Etc cafe in Vancouver has really good cheesecake... very evil though... too yummy.
Sunday Rob and I went to the states to meet up with my parents... and Rob turned out to be quite the shopper... he outshopped me... he bought both a cool dragon touch lamp (the touch lamps change light variation by each touch) with neat dragon pictures on the glass slats of the lamp... he also bought a comforter so he can stop using the old one that I'm sure is almost as old as I am LOL. My parents are bringing them home in the motorhome so we didn't have to pay duty. I bought junk food and some shirts that were on sale for 1.77 heheh. We ended up going for dinner at Me & Ed's pizza in Burnaby at like 10pm hehe but it was quite nice... much better than the last time I was there... and said I wouldn't go back LOL. Today the three of us have sat around the house and watched the CSI marathon going on. I got changed out of my pj's at like 2 hehehe and still haven't left the house... although Cerra and I should have started a contest to see who could pee the most in one day cuz we're pretty equal at like 20 times so far LOL. Right now we are waiting for Rob to make us dinner hehehe... ahhh I likes my weekend!! :o)
Will be sure to update after my first couple days of work... let you know what and how I'm doing although I can see me being happier ;)
Hope ya'll had a great long weekend!

Cheers!

Last day of work... first day of freedom

So let me tell you about my last day of work. Ok, so last year when Rhonda left... they were quite peeved originally at her decision to leave (but it was right for her...) but she ended up with a going away party. They weren't terribly happy when Wendy left last month but they gave her a group thing and they gave her a thing of beer and had a card and some small prezzies... so I go to leave and I get "here are your cheques" and "the key back please" yep... no cake... no prezzies... not even a card :sigh: how rude... not to mention I had done tons of overtime... had given 2.5 weeks just to help them out... and had put my butt into working for them for years... LEAH EVEN GOT MORE FOR LEAVING I'M SURE and she was only there a year and left for school... so yeah I was no impressed to say the least... but alas. I am over it now... I even got paid for the Stat holiday on Monday even though I am no longer employed there YEAH ME! Then came the last night of volleyball... and it was a lot of fun I have to say... I quite enjoyed it... :) Marty is my hero.

So today was my first day of freedom really and I spent it helping Rob and Cerra move... it was quite the task... took a really long time and a lot of effort but they have a pretty nice apartment (and a rather odd but friendly neighbor next door). Also, Rob has a LOT of heavy stuff... boys are silly. Further, I  Andre... he made me laugh... and so did Jonny... they are my favs LOL... I wish I had taken lots of pics... especially of our trip around the parking lot on the back of the pickup truck... Cerra and I just trying to hold on as Rob ripped around the corners... was so fun!!!So it looks like this weekend will be rather packed. Tomorrow I'm taking my e-wifey shopping for some fun stuff :) maybe look at kitties since they can have one at their new place. Might make dinner with her if she doesn't go camping. Haven't heard from Brooke but she might spend Friday night at my place... my parents are going camping in the states apparently all weekend... Saturday is a hair appointment... am going ALL BLONDE BABY!!! :) then most likely the PNE again (went with Rob last week and that was a blast!) and Sunday we (Rob and I) are supposed to meet up with my parents in the states for shopping and brunch. Monday rob and I are hoping to go up to Whistler and wander a bit and have some Old Spaghetti Factory lunch... am excited for this weekend... FREEDOM!!! SWEET FREEDOM! I start my new job on Tuesday... I will definitely keep this updated on how that goes... that is if I make it through Tuesday without being crushed by warehouse equipment LOL or falling off the electric scooters they apparently have back there for the warehouse workers to use.
Anyways... I am exhausted... didn't sleep all that great last night and would love to go to bed now (after midnight)... am just waiting for laundry and perhaps my hair to dry... but that's not as important as the fact that my eyelids are slowly closing on themselves... OHHH sounds like the washer is done... time to transfer stuff to the dryer and hop into bed... ohhh boulders... I have laundry on the bed waiting to be folded :sigh:... ok. Wish me luck.

Cheers ya'll.
