My nose is plugged!

Alright... so alas... no pictures... DON'T SHOOT ME! I am slow. See I don't think the problem would be as bad if I were able to use my computer, but the driver won't work so they are all on Rob's computer... so really... u should blame him LOL Besides... he hogs all my otherwise computer time :op hehehe
So lets see... I'll start with camping this weekend. It was awesome (thanks for the idea Brooke) we went to paradise valley up by squamish (on the way to Whistler Bekki) and it was so beautiful and amazing up there... I do not have pictures... but I might get some off other people's cameras. It rained overnight on Saturday night but we stayed relatively dry and happy all weekend. We played some volleyball and went down to the river... ate some hot dogs (that's right we were allowed a fire there... even during the fire ban. WOOT!) and I drank lots of vodka coolers (ok so lots to me was 4 this weekend... but three of them were in a row... I make for a stupid drunk :sigh: although I managed to not kill myself or get lost *although I do believe they worried when I didn't arrive back at the camp after going to the bathroom... I did kinda wander off around the campground for awhile... but was located back at the tent trying to get my sweatpants which were still soaking wet and hanging to dry in the tent... Rob is my hero!! :) * uh huh)
So yeah... other than that... it was kinda cold at night... u'd think with having a warm guy around I wouldn't have frozen to death at night but I really did... I attempted to not move a muscle whilst laying there as when I moved anything I suddenly got shivers all over my body hehehe...
We ended the weekend with breakfast at White Spot well by that time it was lunch really... but u get the point. Rob and I have decided to definately go back there... the washrooms were great and the staff was lovely and the site was gorgeous and all the stars at night... it was paradise! I EVEN MANAGED TO KEEP THE FIRE GOING WHEN ROB WENT TO THE BATHROOM! I felt like a real camper... :)
We got home yesterday to see the new dog... :sigh: Izzy is very scruffy but apparently that's my mom's thing... and I love all dogs so I'm sure I'll be fine with her although I was hardly impressed when I came home last night and got growled and barked at... I couldn't go up the stairs in my own house ... I managed to find the light switch and sort things out with my tiny guard dog... I was happy she felt comfy enough to guard the house already... but slightly perturbed that I didn't get to bed until late because I had to introduce myself to the dog over again cuz she didn't remember me... and more perturbed that my parents didn't bother to get up to find out what the commotion was about... argh! would have helped for them to leave ANY light on in the house or even outside the house I'm sure. Either way... my mom is in love with Izzy... and she's cute enough for a scruff muffin. I will take pics and post them soon... she's got a cute enough face and I will try my hardest not to take out my disappointment on her... tis not her fault she's scruffy... although she is an amazingly picky eater... she might get along with Rob ;op hehehe
Wednesday is my last day here and I'm actually quite excited... further... tis also my last day of volleyball and that's kinda disappointing... but it makes it easier not worrying about getting to vancouver after work in Coquitlam :)

Alright... so I guess that's it for me... another day of work... followed by two more... and then no more after that here... YEAH ME! Hope ya'll had a great weekend.

Cheers!

Good Monday morning... YEAH RIGHT!

Alrighty... so I was apparently supposed to get on the SherBrooke pics from my camera  but this weekend was kinda distracting and well it didn't get done : sorry. but I will be doing better this week I hope and should have them up for your paroosal (sp?) soon.
I don't remember what I wrote in my last blog but I would assume my dentists appointment might have been in there? either way I decided not to go to the dentist as it wasn't covered under my dental until the 17th. ?? this also reminds me that I have to contact someone in our accounting department about many different aspects of my departure muhahaha :)
My calendar has the thought for the day as "Happiness is acceptance"... I think I am inclined to agree... if you accept it... u don't worry about it... and worrying is not happiness... I would know and Bekki would agree :op

OHHHH SPEAKING OF BEKKI! muhahaha I think I'll give her a plug for her new blog WOOT! which she finally made an entry on :does a little dance: so if you are bored and would like further entertainment after reading my blog... feel free to click on her mug shot in my comments box :) hehehe... I especially would like to see the toe jam sand castle Taj MAhal :op

I bought two new books yesterday... which for some is not as exciting as it is for me. One is a Canadian Ghost stories book which I broke into before bed last night :) I dunno why I like ghost stories so much... but I guess it's the whole unknown thing... and yeah... watching stuff on tv does kinda creep me out a bit but books are better :) or at least so far... and I do LIKE watching the creeping me out kinda shows about ghosts... I just dont' like watching them alone : I also bought a book of short stories which I have not started yet... so cannot form much of an opinion on... although the last book I read... the "My life is a wedgie" book was totally useless : some parts were rather funny but I have a feeling my e-wifey Cerra will get a much better kick out of the book than I did... hence I gave it to her last night so she has something to occupy her time today hehehe :)

So my parents picked out a dog last night and are faxing in an application to adopt it... : I am excited about the prospect of a dog but disappointed in what they have chosen... although I wanted various breeds and was ok with crosses of such...they chose something I feel would be a bit harder for me to bond with because I don't care for that breed... it's like a long hair jack russell terrier (yes the scrappy breed!) but I think it might be a parsins terrier (sp?)... either way it's 4 years old and it's name is IZZY. (female) I was quite disappointed they wouldn't even go see Buster the beagle I picked out... only cuz it was a male... so instead they picked a breed knowing I preferred not to have that type and especially a scruffy version of that type... but alas... it is a dog and I'm sure I'll get used to it... :) Besides in a couple years I'm hoping to be able to move out and get a dog of my own choosing... although it would be very hard to just choose one :sigh: I love so many :( everywhere I go I see dogs I would totally take home in a second LOL

So it looks like I will be going camping again this weekend :) I like camping... and I hope the weather is good... apparently Friday is supposed to see some showers :boo hiss: but maybe that will change by friday :)

So lastly... I only have 1.5 WEEKS LEFT! :) I wonder what they will be like...?? hrmmmm....
I will try to keep you updated hehe :)

cheers!

:Sigh:

So I have less than 5 minutes to write this from home, so not a long one I'd assume (although with my typing speed I can easily fit a few hundred words bahaha :)
Anyways, work seems ok... my boss is kinda having a spaz I think... I tried to book off morning time for a dentist appointment and we seem to be going back and forth between us about it... it turns out I'm not covered for dental until after Sept 17 unless there is a problem, so unfortunately it looks like she may have won this battle (CRAP!) but that's ok. I am trying too hard to be a crap disturber anyways LOL it's just I had informed her that I had an appointment in the morning and she told me she wanted me to change it to the afternoon, BUT the train I take to and from downtown only starts running at 3:50 ... ?? so by the time I got back to Coquitlam, walked home, got my car and made it out to Richmond... it might be a tad late.... but apparently that was easier for her to deal with than my coming in later and staying late :sigh: cuz then she's have to come in early and answer phones... and would she do that? bahaha NO! she wouldn't even pull a field card to see if there was an affidavit... she'd rather interrupt me to ask me if I remembered typing it... I said that I had typed so many lately (we are REALLY busy) that I couldn't remember a specific one for a bank LOL maybe if I typed one for John Jacob JingleHeimerSchmidt or something... but not a bank... so I said I would pull the field card in the morning, knowing she wanted to get back to the client right away and I had finished work 15 minutes earlier but was trying to get the last of my stuff off for the day (not totally the last I still have piles and piles, but the stuff that needed to go out) so instead of just getting off her duff and pulling out a field card to see if there was an affidavit attached (the process is simple, walk to filing cabinet... open filing cabinet... pull out field card with bank's name, look behind field card... if Affidavit attached YEAH IT'S DONE! if not... it wasn't done) she decided she'd wait until I did it in the morning... fine whatever... not like I don't have a million other things to do... ugh. whatever. So I'm debating just taking my dental appointment under suspicious pain in my jaw hehehe my teeth are always sore on and off and everytime I go in I get them to check, cuz I don't want a root canal or something... but they always say there's nothing there... I probably just have like nerve problems or something :bah: so I could always cite that as my reason for going in and then I'd be covered under dental and know for a fact that I don't have cavities or problems... as I don't get dental or medical for a few months after starting my new job.... why are things so complicated ?? LOL

Other than that... things are ok. Cerra and Rob have probably found an apartment and they have another appointment tonight for a different one if they'd like... I was going to go but I don't think I will now... I have stuff to do and junk and such :sigh: anyways... I wish them luck with their new place.

I suppose since it's 7am... I should log off and go to work... (I'm gonna hit McD's for brekky... but nothing seriously horrible for me... no worries! probably yogurt and fruit... mmmm) (and orange juice nummy)
Hope everyone has a great day... TIS ALMOST THE WEEKEND! WOOT!
ohh and on that note... GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND BROOKE! (she's doing the Walk for Breast Cancer... like 65 kms in a weekend... ohhh exhausting!) we're all so proud :) *wouldn't do it myself, but proud of you for doing it hehehe* Maybe next year I'll volunteer... I'd die if I had to walk that far LOL
cheers.

I QUIT!

So yeah, I finally did it. I gave my 2.5 weeks notice at work on Friday. This news coming to my boss only 2 weeks after another girl left... I don't think it was much of a surprise cuz really I only got an evil look for a few minutes and perhaps she went into shock, but it wasn't an overly horrible experience. However, the following two weeks will provide more information on the mental state of my boss, as she may decide she is really not happy about the whole thing and make my last few weeks hell... am looking forward to finding out. The last two people to leave had HORRIBLE experiences doing so...
anyways... I'm heading off to work with my parents in the locksmithing shop. I will be doing warehouse and office w0rk, with more emphasis on the warehouse part. Apparently they'll even teach me to drive a forklift... WOOT! So that should be exciting... the money works out about the same though. I'm just wondering about going for a dental checkup before starting my new job bahaha :)
Other than that, I'm not sure too much is really interesting enough to write about. Today I'm going to attempt to go swimming for the first time in quite awhile. I bought a face mask (so I can avoid getting large amounts of chlorine in my piercing) and the set I bought also comes with a nose plug and two pairs of goggles, amoung a carrying case and ear plugs and snorkel and stuff... was a great Walmart deal and I'm really excited to attempt to swim again... dunno if I'll remember how to but I doubt I'll drown :
Yesterday morning, I woke up and my nose hurt quite a bit and I freaked out because I thought it was probably infected, but when I got to the mirror, the piercing was sticking out on a weird angle... which also freaked me out LOL but I managed to get it to go back in properly after some hot water treatment and some piercing twisting... tis all good today :)
Anyways, should run off and see about the new pool... will let you know how it goes... unless I drown... then perhaps not :
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and the sun is shining in your area too!

Cheerios!

PICTURES!

Ok, so not all the pictures, as my camera and my computer had a fight over some driver device port thing last night (was about to throw computer out the window actually) so for now, we'll settle for Brooke's pictures and I'll add mine when I get a chance :sigh: hoping for this weekend. ANYWAYS...
http://photobucket.com/albums/y142/imafoxx/SherBrooke2005/?start=all

the red eye is outrageous... and just so you know... the moths were in fact EVERYWHERE ... they were SWARMING the lights in Vernon... was insane... don't think I've seen as many moths in my entire life as those surrounding the one light in the Ford dealership (they have no taste obviously LOL)

so are you all appeased for now? LOL stop harassing me now? hehehe... aww I'm glad I have people who care enough to harass me LOL especially since I don't see any of you ever :(

As for the cowboys... it didn't matter... no good looking cowboy would be any match for us gorgeous Lower Mainlander cowgirls anyways ;) but we still know how to have a good time. Was one of the best weekends of my life... definitely worth the excitement of planning it all, only wish it were longer :sigh: but that's ok. We'll just plan another one in future... WOOT!

Tonight is volleyball, and for the first time in like 2 months... it's cloudy :
Funny, as Tim (Darren's friend Tim) is coming to watch the volleyball game tonight and if its rainy they cancel volleyball... how classic eh? Plus my wifey might come out to watch too... ahh well we all might just end up at the pub for drinks and such :)

I suppose now would be the time to get to work... hope ya'll have an awesome Wednesday (or in the case of those overseas... Thursday hehe) cheerios!

My weekends

Okay, so I said I'd post about my SherBrooke weekend this week, so I thought I'd combine that with my camping weekend (this past weekend) and kill two birds with one really large stone heheh :) yeah that was my hint that this might be quite the long post... grab a snack ;)

So SherBrooke started out interestingly enough hehehe Brooke and I went to drop off Scotty at the skytrain and I ended up getting us lost on the way back looking for gas so I ended up making us late to get back home... like 11 : We ended up going to bed at like just before 1am... and getting text messages until after 1am. Got up at 4am... and ate a bit of brekky and chugged some coffee and headed out... we were awake enough for the early morning :) At 8:30 am we stopped on the side of the highway... and line danced... yep! that's right... my legs hurt so we decided to stop and because fishing in the dark came on... I had the brilliant idea to line dance on the side of the highway in a brake check stop... we got people honking at us... and everything is on film (video camera to be precise). So we ended up taking a scenic tourist tourish way of getting to lumby and made it there before 11am and ended up eating a bit of lunch before heading to the Cowboy festival. Was somewhat interesting, but quite disappointing, as any cowboys we found would have been at least our father's ages if not our grandfathers :sigh: and the one cowboy who would have been our age... disappeared? we lost him bahaha :) ahh well. We went home after that (stopped briefly at the opal mine to look at the jewelry made up from the opals) and tried to nap but the heat was so ridiculous we basically made our own saunas in our clothes on our beds... so that was no good. We went bar hopping at night... first to Moe's where we lead the entire dance floor in line dancing (same as the dance on the road ;) and I had some guy fall for me... literally. Walking in front of us... staring at me and tripped :) was quite humorous... we also spent a lot of time trying to decide whether one of the dancing couples was two males? hehehe... there was a nice blues bar in the basement... which was made up to look like a cave :) After Moe's we hit the MIX nightclub... very disappointing... way too loud and rave-ish for me... although we had quite the funny experience with one clubber who cut in between my cousin Dan and I facing towards Brooke and I and started dancing asking loudly "YES YES YES?" when he received nothing but odd looks from the two of us... he decided to dance off stating "NO NO NO" it was pretty funny. We didn't stay long there and ended up getting back to my aunt's about 2:30 am... we got up at like 9am and had brekky and headed into Vernon to do some shopping. We ended up getting hair dye and heading to downtown vernon... where we had our noses pierced together... quite the experience... I guess it's sorta like a blood bond (almost put blonde... still need to wake up... where's my coffee?) hehehe we are bonded for life because we've both been mutilated together :op hehehe... very classy piercings though... just small diamond stud like things... wasn't too bad... very painful for like 2 seconds... I went into a bit of shock apparently (I just remember being really dizzy and thinking I might hurl on the poor piercing girl). We went to Freedom body piercing... and I would definitely reccomend it... amazing staff and very nice facility :) Anyways... we went to Kalamaka lake in the afternoon/evening and then to Alexander's Pub on the beach for dinner... :) was great fun... quite enjoyable... although I must make note to complain that the dairy queen closes too early and McDonalds runs out of chocolate fudge and orange juice by 10pm hehehe... We dyed our hair late that night hehe... mine didn't turn the black color it was supposed to be... but that's ok. I likes it :)
Monday we got up pretty early to feed the horses (Brooke is good at that LOL) and then we got to ride for a bit.... we headed out pretty much right after our riding lessons LOL and went into Kelowna where we stopped at the JAmmery for waffles (not very good... sorry to disappoint... but the rest of the food was great) and bought LOTS of jams :) they are EXCELLENT! mmmmmmmmm We then hit up Cedar Creek wineries... very lovely facility and I did try the wine I bought my parents... which they must have enjoyed... I think it only lasted the night that they opened it to try it... cuz the empty bottle was left in the morning LOL... not to make them sound alcoholic or anything bahaha :) We then headed home (after stopping to get a picture with Ogopogo in City Park)... and that was pretty much it... so far our piercings have done quite well and I have no complaints... am very proud of us for not wussing out :)
This past weekend... I had train and play on Friday and then went directly from there to Harrison Hot Springs to go camping with a great group of people. Friday night we were pretty late getting there (came close to the gates being closed on us hehe) and then spent the night around a propane fire roasting marshmallows. I was exhausted and went to bed by 1:30 :) Saturday we went to the beach for the day... was gorgeous weather... but very hot. Ended up mini golfing at night... was a great mini golf course up there... of course I didn't win, but I did have a lot of fun :) Sunday... we packed up and Rob and I headed to my family picnic in Maple Ridge... which was a really good time too... although I think I got sunburnt : all in all was a pretty great weekend again... :)
I think that's it... that's pretty much all... so it's not too long... no one grew a beard whilst reading through it (I hope). If you would like details on anything specific... just let me know hehe... and Brooke and I will be watching our like 2 hour video of the SherBrooke trip soon if anyone is up for joining LOL... we definitely got some good stuff on there :) (no our piercings were not on it... we didn't have it then :op)

CheerS!!

NEW BOOK

thought I'd make a brief post to announce the purchase of my new book "MY LIFE IS A WEDGIE" I don't know much about it, other than it's written like the diary of a woman who apparently writes/speaks a lot like Bekki. Bloke - man
bludge - mooch
bot - bottomchook - chicken
chuck - sea
chundering - vomiting
devon - processed tinned meat
esky - cooler
fleuro pen - highlighter
grub - a dirty person, worm or caterpillar, or food
hoon - to drive really fast or someone who does this
lippie - lipstick
loo - toilet
nappy - diaper
numberplate - license plate
nutters - crazy people
pong - smell
queue - a file or line of people
smidgeon - small quantity
sultana - raisin
tacky-dacky - track pants (WTF?)
Texta - felt pen or marker
tiddly - drunk
tightwad - cheap person
tongue-pash - french kiss (again WTF?)
Torch - flashlight
whingeing - whining (awww Bex u use this word tons!)

So Bekki my dear... how accurate were these? (and after chatting with you for 7 years... I recognize quite a few of these hehe but some are still foreign... do u use them? LOL)

I'M BAAAAAA-AACK!

So yeah... we got back at about 6:30 last night (would have been earlier but there was traffic) and as much as I'd love to write all about SHERBROOKE 2005 (for the maybe 3 of u who check this blog now LOL) it will have to wait... details cannot be released at this time... pending notification of certain individuals hehehe... but we have loads of video and pics to sort through and hopefully I will post some soon ;)
I hope everyone had a great weekend... my weekend was awesome... there are few people I would have had as much fun with as Brooke... so thanks Brooke... :)
YES YES YES??? NO NO NO... funniest thing... :) ... ohhh... I will explain that with my detailed update... most likely beginning of next week... have a lot to do this week...
